How it works

  1. 01

    Pick a calculation

Wind triangle, TAS and density altitude, fuel, speed-distance-time, or unit conversions.

  2. 02

    Enter your numbers

Results update live as you type, in clean cockpit-style readouts.

  3. 03

    Drill in practice mode

Generate fresh problems and reveal the full working — the way to make the method automatic.

Common questions

Is this a CX-3 or E6-B emulator?+

It performs the same E6-B / CRP-5 calculations you'll use for the DGCA Navigation paper, as a modern interactive tool built by us. If you specifically want the ASA CX-3 interface, we've embedded that separately on the CX-3 emulator page.

How accurate are the density altitude and TAS figures?+

They use the standard rule-of-thumb approximations taught for ground exams (about 118.8 ft per °C above ISA, and TAS rising ~2% per 1,000 ft of density altitude). They're ideal for learning and cross-checks, not a substitute for certified performance data.

Can I use this in the actual DGCA exam?+

No — exams require the approved manual flight computer. Use this to learn the methods and practise quickly; then make sure you're fluent on your physical CRP-5/E6-B for the exam itself.

Which lesson does this go with?+

It pairs with the Air Navigation strategy lesson in Stage 3 of the Route, where the wind triangle and these calculations are explained in context.
