Common questions
Is this the official ASA CX-3?+
Yes — it's ASA's own CX-3 Flight Computer Emulator, hosted by ASA (prepware.com) and embedded here for convenience. BeAPilot is not affiliated with or endorsed by ASA; 'CX-3' is ASA's trademark.
Is it free to use?+
The emulator is provided online by ASA and is free to use here. If you want the full CX-3 device or ASA's paid materials, those are available from ASA directly.
Can I use a CX-3 in the actual DGCA exam?+
Rules on permitted flight computers are set by DGCA and can change — the manual CRP-5/E6-B is the traditional standard. Confirm what's currently permitted with DGCA or your school before relying on any electronic computer in the exam.
How is this different from your flight computer trainer?+
Our own flight computer trainer is a lightweight interactive tool with live results and step-by-step practice problems, built for learning the methods. This page embeds ASA's CX-3 so you can get used to the electronic device's interface.
