I fly for a major Indian airline. Before that I sat the current DGCA papers, went through the Class 1 process as it runs now, and picked a school from the same shortlist you are building. I remember what those decisions actually cost, in money and in months, because it was recent and because it was mine. The free part of this site is what I wish someone had handed me then. The call is the part that is only about you.

Why a call

The roadmap shows you the route. It can't show you yours.

The free site covers the path end to end. What it cannot do is weigh your marks, your medical history, your budget, your city and your timeline against each other and tell you what to do next. That part is specific to you.

What your plan has to weigh

  • 01Marks
  • 02Medicals
  • 03School choice
  • 04India vs abroad
  • 05Budget & loans
  • 06Timeline
  • 07Family

If you're sitting at home with fifteen tabs open, comparing schools, adding up costs and wondering who to actually trust, that is exactly what this call is for.

What you get

What you'll leave the call with

One clear answer to the question underneath all the others: what should I do next? Together we work through:

  1. Your eligibility

Your academics, age and medical position, and any roadblocks worth knowing about now rather than at 40 lakh.

  2. Your training route

India or abroad, the order of licences and exams, and what actually makes sense for your situation.

  3. Where to train

Schools worth considering, schools I would be cautious about, and the trade-offs behind each. No school pays me to name it.

  4. What it will really cost

Not just the headline fee: the costs that tend to appear later, and what a training loan looks like month to month.

  5. Your timeline

A realistic, step-by-step path from where you are today to a CPL in your hand, and what comes after it.

  6. The questions to ask

Including the uncomfortable ones: whether this is financially sensible, whether you are suited to it, and whether there is a better route.

And I follow up in writing afterwards, so none of this rests on memory. Then the thread stays open for whatever comes next.

Straight with you

I'll tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

A flying school's counsellor is paid when you enrol. I am not paid by them, and I am not paid by you either. That is the whole reason I can say the things they cannot afford to.

  • If your marks are going to make the route difficult, I'll tell you.

  • If a school does not make sense for your budget, I'll tell you.

  • If you are about to spend money too early, I'll tell you.

  • And if I do not think this is the right career for you, I'll tell you that too.

Why is this free?

Because I would rather this existed than earn from it. It costs me time, not money. The site is funded by a small number of labelled affiliate links and sponsors, all of them listed in the open. You are not the product, and nothing here sits behind a paywall.

Completely independent

I take no commission from any flying school, in India or abroad, and no fee for arranging admissions. The advice you get is based on your situation, not on who pays me: no placement fees, no admissions incentives, no guaranteed outcomes.

Not an agent. Not retained by any school. Not paid a rupee by anyone whose name might come up on your call. If that ever changes, it will be on this page before it happens.

Honest fit check

Is this call right for you?

I would rather you spent an hour reading than sat on a call that does not help either of us. So here is who it suits, and who should skip it.

Book a call if

  • You have read some of the roadmap and now have questions that are specific to you.
  • You are choosing between named schools, or between India and abroad, and both look equally convincing.
  • Your situation has a complication: a medical worry, a gap year, non-science marks, or a budget that does not quite reach.
  • You are about to commit a large sum and want one unbiased read before you sign.
  • Family are pushing a decision and you want an outside opinion that is not selling you a course.

Skip it if

  • Your question is already answered on this site. Go and read it, it will be faster than waiting for me. Start with the roadmap
  • You only want the cost maths. The calculator already does that, instantly. Open the cost calculator
  • You only want school data. The directory is public, and it is right there. Browse the schools
  • You want someone to arrange your admission, your paperwork or your medical. I do not do that, paid or free.
  • You want a guarantee of a licence, a medical or a job. Nobody can honestly give you one.
How it works

Four steps, no surprises

  1. 01

    Send the request

Tell me where you are and what you want out of the call. It takes two minutes.

  2. 02

    I read it and reply

Usually within one working day I reply personally with an honest answer on whether I can help, and a time that suits you. If your question is already answered on the site, I say so and send you there instead.

  3. 03

    The call, then your notes

We talk properly about your situation, usually for under an hour. I follow up in writing afterwards so you have something to go back to.

  4. 04

    The door stays open

When the next decision lands, months later, reply to that same email thread. You do not start again from a form.

Request a session

Tell me about your situation

I read every one of these myself and reply personally, usually within one working day, including when the answer is that you do not need a call at all.

I reply here.

Include the country code. This is how I confirm your slot.

Where are you in the journey, and what are you trying to decide? Two or three sentences of real detail is plenty.

A preference, not a confirmed booking.

Indian Standard Time. I will confirm the exact slot on WhatsApp.

By sending this you agree to our terms and privacy policy.

Common questions
Why is this free?+

Because I built this site to be the thing I wish someone had handed me, and charging for the last mile of it never sat right. It costs me time rather than money, and the site is funded openly by a few labelled affiliate links and sponsors. There is no upsell at the end of the call, nothing held back behind a paywall, and no version of this you have to pay for. Read how the site makes money

Can I come back to you later?+

Yes, and that is why this is called mentorship rather than a consultation. Reply to the same email thread whenever the next decision arrives, whether that is next month or next year. You will not be asked to fill in the form again.

How long will you take to reply?+

Usually within one working day. I fly for a living, so during a roster block it can be longer. If I am behind, I will say so rather than go quiet on you.

Do you take a commission from flying schools?+

No, and I never will. Every school gets a free profile in the directory and a right of reply, and there is no paid tier that could move a ranking. There is no per-student commission anywhere in this business either, because a commission would recreate the exact incentive this site exists to fight. Read the firewall

What if you cannot help me?+

Then I say so straight away, and I point you to the free pages that answer your question. It happens reasonably often. It is a good outcome, not a failure.

Can you get me admission, or handle my paperwork?+

No. I am not an agent. I do not arrange admissions, DGCA paperwork, medicals or visas, and I take no fee from anyone who does. I will explain exactly how each process works so you can do it yourself, which is rather the point.

Can you guarantee me a licence or an airline job?+

No, and be very careful with anyone who says otherwise. This is guidance and planning, not a guaranteed result. Read the terms

What language is the call in?+

English or Hindi, whichever you think in. Mention which when you send the request.

Can my parents sit in?+

Yes, and it usually helps. A lot of this decision sits with whoever is funding it, and they tend to ask the sharpest questions.

What happens to the details I send?+

They are used to prepare for your call and to reply to you. They are not sold, and you will not be quietly added to a mailing list. Read the privacy policy

Ready when you are

Before you spend tens of lakhs, spend one conversation getting clear.

If the free roadmap already answers your question, read that instead: that is exactly what it is there for. If it does not, let's talk.
